VisiofficeĀ®
VisiofficeĀ®, by Essilor, delivers breakthrough results in vision-measurement technology by Visioffice-Machine using 3D measurements, providing the most accurate eye-lens positioning and visual-behavior calculations available. VisiofficeĀ® greatly enhances the patient experience by taking accurate measurements to customize the lens and frame to each personās eyes and vision which are unique.
VisiofficeĀ® measures the location of the pupils, the natural tilt of the head, how the eyes move, and more. In a matter of minutes, it collects the exact data needed to digitally manufacture the most customizable lenses possible.
This new technology is user-friendly, both for the patient and optometrist. In fact, it is as easy as standing in front of a mirror as the camera collects information from its sensors.
On-Site Finishing Lab
V Eye P Las Colinas has an on-site optical finishing laboratory. Sonyu, our knowledgeable and experienced optical manager will closely monitor, inspect and verify that your eyeglass prescription is filled accurately and ensure proper alignment and fabrication of your ophthalmic lenses.
Our lab technology allows us to offer same day service on most prescriptions. In addition we offer free fitting and adjustment on all eyeglasses as often as you may need.
3D OCT Eye Scan
OCT is comparable to an ultrasound scan for the eyes. It uses near infrared light to measure the thickness of the different layers that make up the retina at the back of the eye.OCT
OCT is an advanced method of detecting and monitoring the development of eye conditions including age related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, diabetes and retinal detachment It also allows measurement of corneal shape (topography) and thickness for patients who wish to have laser refractive surgery.
Using a state-of-the-art 3D Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) eye scanner can take both a full color digital photograph and a 3 dimensional (3D) scan of the back of your eyes. This allows us to detect a number of common sight threatening eye conditions that affect the retina and optic nerve earlier than has been possible before. Early detection of these conditions is essential if we are to prevent permanent loss of sight.
Optomap
The Optomap images provide enhanced clinical information which facilitates the early detection, management and treatment of disorders and diseases evidenced in the retina such as retinal detachments and tears, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Retinal imaging can also indicate evidence of non-eye or systemic diseases such as hypertension and certain cancers.
Optomap is a low-powered scanning laser ophthalmoscope that digitally scans the retina. The test is non-invasive and takes only seconds to complete. Different wavelengths of laser light are used to capture the image. The image can then be filtered, allowing various layers of the retina to be evaluated. The image can be viewed on a computer monitor and stored for future comparisons.
Another advantage of Optomap technology is that the retinal image is displayed immediately. This lets the eye care professional to review it quickly, and if necessary, refer the patient to a retinal specialist.
Using the internet, the image can be sent anywhere in the world for a specialist to review immediately.
