Cindy

Cindy, office manager and opticianry certifiedAs the Practice Manager, I am certified through the American Board of Opticianry and I have over 15 years of experience in the optical field and 17 years of customer service. Throughout my career, I have worked in all aspects of the optical profession but my passion is to frame style patients. Frames have become part of our fashion attire and love to show patients what is trending and hot.
As a consumer, I know the importance of excellent customer service. At V Eye P Las Colinas, I implement the same beliefs and create an inviting atmosphere for patients. Feel free to stop by and check out what is new and we will be happy to pick out your next awesome pair of glasses.
On the weekends, I kick off my heels and spend time with family and friends. I love being outdoors whether it's camping, listening to live music, or being poolside.

I am an American Board Certified Optician with 15 years of optical experience. As an Optician, my goal is to deliver each patient glasses that not only look good, but also provides the best vision possible for them.

I believe glasses are not just a functional necessity, but also an extension of the patient’s personality.  Glasses can say “I’m creative”, “I’m daring”, “I’m a chic nerd”, or even “I want to look like a sexy librarian”.  Each frame portrays a different mood, situation, or image and I am here to help guide each patient to find that specific idea or image they want to convey to the world.  The best compliment I can get from a patient happens the day they pick up their new glasses, when they say “I love my new glasses!” and they leave our practice wearing a huge smile on their face.  I have a variety of roles, including:  frame styling, patient education, solving issues related to patient’s glasses, performing frame adjustments, doing repairs on glasses, pulling and filing optical insurances, checking in and checking out patients, pre-testing patients and managing the optical lab; in short, I go where I am needed in the practice.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband and our animals.  I also enjoy target shooting, making jewelry, and reading a good book.

I have over 7 years of experience in the optical industry as an Optician. In May of 2012, I studied and took the test for the ABO and became an American Board Certified Optician after my first attempt. I also have 9 years in the sales/customer service industry. I have worked with many different frame lines and love to help people select the perfect frame to display their unique style and personality.

I am also adept in selecting the right lenses for each and every client. I love talking to clients and getting to know them on a personal level.  I believe that my honesty when discussing frame and lens options and the education I provide to our patients really helps differentiate their experience in our office versus elsewhere.

Aside from my career in the optical field, my other passions include singing, entertaining people, and good design. In my free time, I love to play guitar and sing karaoke. I love to read books of all genres, although my favorite is interior design. I like taking long walks on the beach, although here in Texas it's a long drive to the beach so I will settle for a nice boat ride on the lake.

When I was younger, I lived on a little island called Guam for over 10 years and was very accustomed to the island life. I love sea life, so much, that I could eat sushi all day everyday of my life. Including sashimi, squid and octopus.  I love all kinds of humor and am really easy to get along with.

I have four years of customer service experience, two years experience in the optometry setting, and am a Certified Paraoptometric through the American Optometric Association.

As a Paraoptometric, I visit with each patient and complete testing prior to the doctor’s exam. I strive to make sure each patient’s experience is nothing short of exceptional. Between patients, you can also find me in the business office assisting with patient check in/out, scheduling appointments, and answering any questions our patient’s might have.

In my free time, I attend classes at Brookhaven College and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love Dallas nightlife, dining out, attending Maverick games, and watching movies.

I am new to the optometry field, but I have more than five years experience in customer service and four years experience in the legal field. As an office administrator, my primary responsibilities include check-in, insurance benefits consultation, scheduling appointments for the doctor, and routing calls so you speak to the right person. I am enjoying getting to know our patients and always happy to answer any questions. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching those crazy lifetime movies, listening to good music and traveling.
